“The journey of my life has taken me through ​the path of the body – this beautiful vessel we ​all have.


The body is the bridge between our thoughts ​and our infinite creations, and when we know ​how to tap into our power, we become ​limitless.


I was always a very rational thinker – I loved ​Maths and all the sciences – the things that ​made sense and were black and white!



I became a photographer, then a pilot, and ​then I actually wanted to study Architecture ​but somehow found myself drawn to studying ​Osteopathy ~ without ever having met an ​Osteopath in my life!


As I thoroughly studied the science of ​Osteopath and the body, and as I treated more ​and more patients with ‘psychosomatic’ ​symptoms, I became more and more ​motivated to understand the energy running ​through us, and the Source of human Life.


I was very motivated to actually find the ​cause… not just treating symptoms.


Going to India to do my Kundalini yoga ​teacher training was another one of those ​events, much like studying Osteopathy.


It just HAD TO BE DONE!


I didn’t know why at the time. But it was ​through the ancient wisdoms left behind by ​the Yogis, The Egyptians, The Buddhists.

I have been blessed to come to my personal ​understanding of the connection between ​the body and the subtle forces of nature.

Slowly but surely,


I have come to understand the meaning ​behind the words often written in riddles ​and analogies.


Through this journey I have read ​thousands of books, but in the end; ​tapping into my body, and to the earth, ​has taught me most of the what I know.



I started Nature Medicine Retreats as a ​way to have more time with my beautiful ​patients – for a deeper understanding of ​your body to unfold.


This awareness allows you to become ​your own healer.


Every day I tune in and find alignment ​within my body and around me ~ and this ​is what I hope to share with you.

  • Find strength & flexibility through our daily movement programme (combining posture ​alignment & strengthening, breathwork, balance &cardio).

  • Purify your body using yogic breathwork, movement, chakra cleansing, good food & ​immersion in good vibes.
  • Deepen your connection to yourself with easy osteopathic/yogic self-care & partner ​techniques·

- Understand the physical manifestations of your chakras

- Bring the two sides of your nervous system into balance

- Tune into your subtle body & the life that runs through you


WHAT TO EXPECT?

  • A safe space in nature’s paradise to surrender & delve deeper into your body
  • A small group environment, maintained in the highest harmony
  • Daily programme of body connection classes, with enough time to enjoy the nature of Sri Lanka
  • Morning exercises to increase your body’s symmetry & balance

  • Evening chakra practices; we will be moving through the 7 chakras in 7 days, using age old ​techniques of mantra, breathing & meditation
  • We will dance everyday! This will be in the morning, afternoon or evening depending on the ​energy levels
  • Expect a morning & evening practice everyday, with self-care & partner practices around lunch on ​some days
  • In your free time, enjoy the yummy food, chill at the hotel, or explore Hikkaduwa and tune into ​the nature surrounding us. There are beautiful reefs to snorkel, waves to catch & even elephants ​and safari animals to see

  • Optimise your breathing by optimising your body’s structure & function
  • Recalibrate the rhythm of your pelvic floor & diaphragm
  • Come to understand the function of yogic breathing techniques
  • Awaken third-eye and whole-brain function through visualization and breathing ​practices
  • Find heart coherence, connecting to self and the collective
  • A warm and supportive environment filled with love

WHAT TO EXPECT?

  • A safe space to understand and expand into your breath completely.
  • Daily group sessions guided by your osteopath. In the mornings we tune into the body and learn ​about the breath, in the evening we release & tune further into the subtle body.
  • Daily sessions: breath awareness, breathing retraining, pelvic breathwork, posture alignment, ​spinal flow, yogic breathing including breath-hold techniques.
  • Breath awareness classes: come to understand how your breath moves your whole body; finding ​opening in all of your joints (hips, pelvis, ribs, shoulders, neck).
  • Breathing retraining; with a focus on the muscles engaged in breathing including the pelvic floor ​& diaphragm. We will surrender to a functional strength & flexibility in these muscles.
  • Posture alignment: Guidance on how to find symmetry and align your posture to optimise the ​function of your lungs & respiratory muscles. We will use the ‘spinal flow’ to increase range in all ​the joints of the body.
  • Subtle body practices: dive deeper into the subtle body using the breath. Expect yogic body locks, ​breath holds, as well as third eye and whole-brain breathing techniques.
  • Personal guidance & body tuning with your osteopath in every session.
  • Daily ‘release’ sessions in the evening; may include gentle yoga, dance, partner practice, ​meditation.
